RETROSPEKCJA
Director: Weronika Szczawińska
Artists: Jolanta Krukowska
There will be a meeting after the play
Jolanta Krukowska, together with director Weronika Szczawińska, comes back to her work from 1994 – performance “Red Hood’s Road” ("Droga Czerwonego Kapturka") – and subjects it to artistic transformation. The result is a surprising story about women’s body, femininity, and artist’s identity.
Returning to Krukowska’s (mainly known from Akademia Ruchu) individual archive is a fascinating journey, not only into individual artistry, but also into recent, inspiring past of performative arts in Poland. It’s a second time those artists collaborate. They met during the work on a play “Song” from 1995 for 50th anniversary of Akademia Ruchu.
